Thank you for visiting my election campaign website. I am proud of my nomination as Africa’s sole candidate for the IPU Presidency with election in October 2008. I am exceedingly grateful for those IPU Member Parliaments that support me and I look forward to working with all of you. We have set forth long-term vision and strategic priorities of the IPU (2008-2010) in a document to guide our ongoing activities.

I will continue to encourage those Member Parliaments hat have not yet confirmed support for my candidacy. My record of public and international service speaks for itself. On the basis of that, I know and trust that you will vote for me, Africa’s sole candidate!

I believe that globalization, multilateral negotiations, global warming and peace building efforts must be people-centred and inclusive towards the realization of world and security, democratic ideals, respect for human rights and eradication of poverty in the world.

I am African and this is Africa’s turn for IPU Presidency!
